WOW! What a weekend! I haven’t been to the drive in
since I was a child and the last movie I remember seeing there was
“Coal Miner’s Daughter!” It brought back so many
memories! I finally fulfilled my promise to my hubby to take
him to a drive in to watch a movie! For those of you who
don’t know this, England doesn’t have drive in theaters, I guess
cause the weather there is usually rain…lol! My boys,
Daniel and Jon Boy really enjoyed the movies they went to
see! They had tons of food too! My momma and one of my
best friends, Barbaloo went also! What a great night!
Walking into the concessions building and seeing the pin ball
machine along with the genuine Pac-Man vintage arcade machine was
totally AWESOME!!!! It was a throwback to a time when people
could get together and enjoy the outdoors and spend some quality
time with their family as well! I pray that the 27 Twin Drive
In in Somerset, Ky stays open forever!!!! If you don’t
believe in the power of the drive in theater, here’s a little
tidbit of a magical moment for you, my hubby doesn’t like hot dogs
that well, but he had the hankering for a chili dog or two or three
that night!!! Then he enjoyed popcorn, xtra large pop, and
movie size box of Raisinettes…..LOL….no wonder he was sicker
than a dog the next day!!!! It’s amazing how something so
simple can make everyone in the crowd so happy! I wish we
could all feel that way every day!!!!
