People complain when they get stuck in traffic, they complain
when they have to stand in line, they complain when things get a
little bit difficult or annoying, but this weekend, I saw someone
who made me feel ashamed of myself for ever complaining or even
feeling sorry for myself. I don’t have a debilitating
disease, I can do many things, but as I watched this young lady who
is stricken with cerebral palsy make her way in line to have a
great time on the gokarts that she couldn’t even drive, my heart
lept as I watched her. She didn’t complain about lines, she
didn’t complain about the heat, she didn’t even care that she
wasn’t going to be allowed to drive, she kept her smile from the
time she got there til the time she left and I just imagine that
beautiful young woman is somewhere smiling right now! She
made me realize that I have everything! God truly blessed her
with the ability to be happy even through her circumstances.
I just love the way God decides to show us little lessons in
life that make us try to be better people. I would love to
see that girl again and thank her for the joy that she is and the
joy that she has brought to me!
